Olympic National Park Rain Forests Beach
12 - 14 Hours / Available year round / Flexible departure time between 6 and 8am
Service Description
Home to the only rain forests in the Continental United States, the west side of the Olympic Peninsula receives up to 15 feet of rain in a year! Unlike the Cascade Mountains, the Olympic Mountains have no volcanoes and are made of sedimentary rock that used to be on the ocean floor and basalt lava that used to be an island off the coast millions of years ago. The Olympic National Park is one of the few places in the world where you can hike from a rain forest to a glacier in less than 20 miles. On this tour, we drive the loop around the Olympic Peninsula and focus on the rain forest and coastal areas of the Olympic National Park. If time allows, we'll make an additional stop on the north side of the Park on the way back to Seattle. Price is for the group but does not include tax, meals or gratuity.
